Gabi Lowe Speaks to News24 on the Jenna Lowe Trust Nov 24, 2015 | Jen's blog | 3 comments 3 Comments Kim van den Heever on December 1, 2015 at 9:26 AM Hi Mrs Lowe I just want to let you know how much your daughter inspired me over these last two years. I know it’s a little silly, but I have literally just finished typing my honours project in environmental management and I have included Jenna in my dedication as one of the heroes who inspire me daily. Wishing you and your family all the best, Kim Reply Gabi Lowe on December 2, 2015 at 7:29 AM Thank you Kim, I think that’s beautiful. Good luck with your project, may you continue to find meaningful inspiration Reply Ayesha Fakier on December 1, 2016 at 11:23 AM Hi Gabi, I met you at Milpark Hospital last year (always at the café when taking a break), when my husband was undergoing Heart Transplant surgery on the 22 March 2015 and you really inspired me and gave me courage and hope that I will be able to face the challenges after my husband’s Heart Transplant. He was discharged 17 days later but also suffered ICU psychosis whilst in hospital and we went through some rough rides while he was in hospital. My husband was still recovering at home when Jenna passed away and he was very saddened and emotional by the news. Unfortunately my husband passed away on the 19th June 2015 due to certain complications and “Heart Rejection”. In our household we continuously support and encourage our family and friends to sign up to become an Organ Donor and no one leaves our house without signing up via the internet. Hopefully in the year ahead, we will partake more in the Organ Donor events around Johannesburg. Wishing you all the best for your future endeavors and may the Jenna Lowe Foundation grow from strength to strength. Reply Submit a Comment Cancel reply Your email address will not be published.
